A focused session for doctors who want to understand patient segmentation in private practice and learn how aligning their clinic with the right patients improves efficiency, reduces friction, and enhances long-term growth.
Most doctors do not consciously choose their patients. They open a clinic and deal with whoever walks in. Over time, this leads to a mismatch: excessive effort with certain cases, repeated discussions about price, and a persistent feeling that the work being done is not translating into stable progress. In many cases, the issue is not clinical skill, and it is not about who is right or wrong between the doctor and the patient. It is about alignment. In this session, we introduce a practical framework to understand patient segmentation in private practice. You will learn how certain segmentation variables determine whether a patient is fundamentally compatible with your clinic model, while others require adjustment in communication and management without changing your system. We will discuss the 15 / 35 / 50 model as one of the key behavioral segmentation variables in developing countries, along with the concept of Medical Reality Acceptance (MRA), which explains how patients perceive uncertainty, timelines, and outcomes in medicine. You will also understand supportive segmentation layers that guide how you adapt communication, and operational layers that affect how your clinic runs efficiently. In addition, we will explore how patients choose doctors through a decision process, and how understanding this process allows you to influence who is more likely to seek your care from the beginning. This session will help you move from reacting to patient behavior to understanding it, and from accepting any patient to intentionally building a clinic that attracts the right patients for your model
